When you were sure of the Father's goodness, and you see your loved one suffer.

When you were sure of the Father's goodness, and your prayer isn't answered.

When you were sure of the Father's goodness, and you recall the memory.

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

When you were sure of the Father's goodness, and then they arrested you.

When you were sure of the Father's goodness, and then they brutalized you.

When you were sure of the Father's goodness, and then on a cross they hung you.

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

When you

yell

plead

bleed

suffer

beg

breath

shout and

cry,

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Jesus prayed these words, how could we not?
